Teitelbaum, is this achdus
A house was built in a upper class neighberhood in NY. After many years, the house was finally ready. The day came to move in. The whole family was packing in. Suddenly thay realized that a big problem occured. The electric of the house wasn't put in correctly. There were no lights, no fridge, no nothing!! Suddenly a FIRE broke out bec. of the failed electric! As they were about to call the fire dep. a young fellow screamed NOOO! CALL THE ELECTRITION!!!!! How stupid is that man, right?!DEAR RABBI TEITELBAUM, a fire is burning! a really bad one! A fire that could burn all of us! It makes no difference NOW how the fire started, we need to extinguish the fire of INTERNET!!!!!!right now!!! After that we could sit down and talk how the fire occured, but till then we can't let it spread!!! "Maybe" you're right that our chinnuch is not good, but to let people do things, bad things, not bec. they are bad people, but because every one has a weak minute in his life, and not prevent him from going down the drain, to spread feelings against a unbelievable effort to hold Klal Yisroel holy is a shame on you!! There is no reason to bash against a kinus that MOST gedolim hold of! ANOTHER TWO WEEKS TO GO,YOU CAN STILL PULL BACK!! for your sake

Wow how true, such a good post!!!
ReplyDeleteYou think that your own post is good?! lol
DeleteDear Mr. Achdus, I have been learning & listening to Torah Shiurim on the internet from Rabbonim that I normally wouldn't have been able to hear from them because of living in different country's. I'm not sure where the fire is but all I know is that when my internet is down I can't hear these Talmidei Chahcamims words of wisdom. On the other hand I have a friend who does not have internet but has a bicycle and everyday he rides his kosher bicycle out of his frum town to watch terrible pritzus movies. Which one of us is better? If you're not sure you don't have to answer. The point Rabbi Teitelbaum made was that Internet is not inherently bad or good. It depends how you use it. We need to Mechanech our kids how to use it for the good.
ReplyDeleteThe Internet is not intrinsically good or bad - it depends how one uses it;and while your words and writings deny that, your actions clearly agree.
ReplyDeleteThe whole point of your blog is to try to explain your views on the Internet and convince people you are right(which you belive is doing a good thing) - and if theoretically someone would agree with you after reading your blog you would call that a "good thing" & the reason you wrote the blog- and that "good thing" came directly from YOUR use of the Internet!
Also in order to start a blog you need to have an understanding of the Internet and need to have access it.(Which means that in all probability - you own a computer with internet!) So your hypocrisy is insulting to all open minded and logically thinking people!
There needs to be education on internet use - not a ban !!!
^^^ idk y it says unkown - it was me if you want to respond to me
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your comments, I love hearing other people's opinions. Keep it coming.
